Mountain Photography Workshop. Macro Photography

Theme: Macro
The objective of this workshop is macro nature photography. We will learn to look differently and express what we see differently.

Contents
We will use macro lenses and we will learn how to perform this type of photography:

1.- Depth of field in macro photography. Problems of focused areas. Diffraction and distortion. Focusing by stacking.
2.- Focusing distance and magnification ratio.
3.- Special objectives for close-up photography. Magnification ratio 1:1.
4.- Extension or approximation rings.
5.- Use of inverted objectives.
6 .- Systems for holding the camera. Tripods and special supports. Rails of macro photography

Lighting
To get good macro photography in nature many times we will need the contribution of artificial illumination, we will learn to illuminate the image in different ways:

1.- Continuous lighting. Direct, filtered, and bounced natural light. Use of diffusers and reflectors. Use of flashlights in macro photography.
2.- Flash lighting:
– Special flashes for macro photography. Ring flash.
– TTL automatic flash. Exposure compensation is automatic.
– Manual flash and power modes. Metering of the flashlight. Flashlight meters.
– Balance between flashlight and natural light.
– Single flash. Use of diffusers and reflectors.
– Multiple flash. Master flash and slave flashes or repeaters. Multiple flash triggering systems. Trigger cells and repeaters by radio frequency.
– Master flash and fill flash. The power ratio of the main light and fill light.
