Could you tell us a bit about yourself?
My name is Eskender, I’m 34 years old. For the past 10 years, I worked as a photographer, but over the last three years, I’ve transitioned into digital marketing. Originally, I’m from Crimea.
How long have you been living in Spain, and what motivated you to move here?
I’ve been living in Spain for three months now. There wasn’t a grand plan or specific motivation behind my move—I simply wanted to experience something new, challenge myself, and see where life would take me. Sometimes, the best decisions come from curiosity rather than careful planning.
Briefly explain what Capacity Ireland is and why you chose to apply for the program?
I stumbled upon Capacity Ireland completely by chance while browsing vacancies on Indeed. I applied without any real expectations, but to my surprise, I got invited for an interview. A few weeks later, I found myself in Granada—something I hadn’t planned, but something I’m now really grateful for.
What was your role at Anda Cowork? What were your main responsibilities?
At Anda Cowork, I worked as a Marketing and Events Assistant. My main role was to assist with marketing, contribute to the content strategy, and create content for Instagram.
How has your experience been working at Anda Cowork? Are there any highlights or specific aspects you particularly enjoyed?
From day one, I felt a warm welcome from the team—Victoria, Dori, and Anthea. I mainly worked with Anthea, Victoria’s assistant, and we had a great dynamic, exchanging thoughts on different marketing and social media approaches. It was a productive experience for both of us, and I really enjoyed being part of a creative and open-minded team.
But what I loved most was meeting new people at Anda. The coworking space became more than just a workplace—it became a social hub where I connected with amazing people like Lianne, Dori, Thomas, Gerard, Sven and his wife (Anabel?). I came in as a marketing assistant, but I left with new friendships, and that’s something truly valuable.
How has life in Granada been for you so far? What is it like living here? Do you plan to stay?
I can genuinely say I enjoyed living in Granada. It’s not a huge city, but it has everything you need—shopping centers, cozy cafés, cultural venues, historical sites, and, of course, breathtaking miradores with stunning views.
One of the things that struck me the most was the unique blend of nature and city life. I loved how you could walk to the edge of the city and suddenly find yourself surrounded by olive trees, oranges, and mandarins. And then, of course, there’s the view of Sierra Nevada, with its snow-covered peaks—it’s just mesmerizing.
So I know that I’m more than happy to have had the experience of living here.
What’s your favorite thing about Granada?
Favorite thing about Granada? Definitely the laid-back atmosphere. Life moves at a slower pace here, and people truly take the time to enjoy the moment.
Could you share a hidden gem or secret recommendation for Granada
Hidden gem? There’s a small, tucked-away spot near Sacromonte, where you can sit on the rocks, watch the sunset, and get an incredible view of the Alhambra with the mountains in the background. It’s one of those places that tourists often miss, but it has an unforgettable energy.
What are your plans for the future?
As for the future, I’m still figuring it out. Right now, I’m focused on growing my skills in digital marketing and content creation, while also keeping an open mind for new opportunities.
Spain has been an interesting chapter, and I’m curious to see where life takes me next. Whether I stay here or move somewhere else, one thing is certain—I’ll keep exploring, learning, and embracing new experiences.
